Default Removing snorkle baffle.

My friend cut out the baffles in his snorkle and claims that he has lost the bottom end on his raptor. Would this little mod do anything to hinder the performance? I would think it would improve it. Anyone else do this and notice a lose.

I took mine out with no side effects. I ran mine for a long time like that with no probs. When I bored it, i installed a bolt-on outerwear allowing the same flow as running no lid. Feel free to take out those flaps though. You will have no probs.

I did that way back when on my 2001, The result was as you described a loss of low end, I replaced mine with a similar size and shaped piece of sheet aluuminum, And i bent it in slightly. It worked great. But Dont leave it out unless your friend is going to go all out and modify the entire intake setup and rejet.

Welcome to the forum YamaRaptor2003. I never had any probs like that but mine was already semi-modified. Anyway, let me be the first to bid you welcome to the forums.
