I've seen pics of a Raptor with an R1 engine that runs around LA dunes. I noticed chubbynug disappeared after everyone asked to see picture proof of him putting one together.

now thats cheating 14mins. but my choice would be gsxr1000 motor. it puts 143 hp to the ground in the bike and put cams, exhaust, and remap the fuel inj. and a 75 shot and you will be set. but that would be what i would choose if i had money. i have to stick with what i got on my budget.lol

you can buy a gsxr 600fi/700/929/1000 engine on ebay usually for under $500. I think there was a 700 on there with carbs, wiring harness, starter, etc. for only like $350.

Check this out.... GSXR600 motor

14mins- i dont know if it would fit into a raptor frame but there is a guy that races at the dunes here where with a CBR1000f that he converted into a quad and he can beast just about anything that lines up with him.i am planning on some major improvements when my current motor gets tired and i am seriously considering going with a large street bike motor myself.when you add up the cost of more engine mods to the raptor a street bike motor conversion makes a lot of sense and would out perform any raptor pretty easily.i am very happy with the performance i have right now with the few mods that i have but i have already given the wife fair warning that my next motor in the raptor will be something that can beat or at least keep up with the fastest banshees that we have around here.anyways the CBR 1000 F would seem to be a good choice from a performance standpoint but as to wether or not it would fit into the raptor frame i am not sure.as much as you seem to like fast quads i would suggest coming here to the oregon dunes sometime to see what kind of competition you could find (no i dont mean me)because on most holiday weekends especially the fourth of july you would find plenty of people willing to race and some of them take it very seriously.
