I have a 2000 grizzly and have had the belt wet twice. Both times was at high speed on fire roads. No problems in holes up to the racks. Just removed drain bolt and ran engine in neutral for a couple of minutes.

I have been through everything I can think of and have never managed to get the belt wet. Of course, if you dive your Griz off in a river and it goes over the handlebars, you will get the belt wet. Not counting you ruining your engine. HaHaHa!!!!!

I just went through a nightmare with my Kodiak. Went through a huge mud bog. Quad wouldn't go anywhere. Towed it home, and found about 3 shovels full of dirt throughout my belt/clutch system. I didn't even go over the belt housing snorkel. That's bull.
