extremerider2811: A 300EX topped out in fourth gear is what, 35-40 MPH for that small, short geared motor?

A Raptor will probably do 35-40 somewhere in the MIDDLE of third gear.

Im not sure a Raptor is for you.
Ahh the kids gonna get one wheather "we" want him to or not. All we can do is say what the raptor is capable of, give him a word of caution and send him on his way. Unless your gonna head out on the trail with him on a pull cord.

This quad is much meaner than your friends EX. Be aware that it can be a handful alot faster than that 300. Evaluate your riding ability(realistically!) and go from there. 300's are a blast(my fiance's cousin has one, and its NOT slow)and you shouldn't out grow it quickly, but then again you get what you think you can handle.

C'mon guys .. play nice. I think this got off because of the 300EX comment. As he stated, it was his friend who found it too fast .. not him. At 16yrs and 175lbs ... I think he can handle a raptor as long as he takes his time and gets to know the quad before goosing it to WOT ... I'm 33 and 165 and it was a while before I could hold the Warrior open for more than a few seconds .. but then .. I've got the fear in me .. I realize I'm not immortal anymore .. not like when I was 15!!! LOL

extreme rider, these guys are just bustin your chops. If your that size and have some good riding experience you should be fine with the raptor. We just get alot of young kids on here that have a tendency to ask silly questions. So as you can guess over time you tend to develop the desire to give smart a*# answers. Its a great quad, and you should have alot of fun with it.

No no no, he meant "GET A BLASTER, JUNIOR!!" (as in, cmon kid, get a blaster)

Hey, if your 16, and 175, at least you are a big enough kid to handle one.
Just dont go nailin that throttle in first gear your first 5 minutes out.

Take it slow.

oh, and.. "you don't know crap about me,, did i say i can't get it into 5 gear, my friend can't alright, now ur making it sound like i said it,,,,, i could get it into 5th easily"

enough of that. This makes you sound 13.

ahh i don't know i'll have to think about that quad, is the 660 a 4 stroke?

also, is the 660 at the top of its game, it out performs any quad, so if i buy one i won't have any engine problems if i take it easy before i break in the engine? in the future there will need to be some repairs like brakes,,, maybe a gear or something but the engine should stay in tact, yeah and if it did blow, how much would a new engine cost me?

thanks
