Warrior Engine Clanking?
Hello all,
I am on my second warrior. My first was a '02, white, that i sold due to the divorce.....toys had to go!!!!!! But, I have now picked up another one. Its a '00, and in need of a lot of tlc. Its smoking heavily, which is an easy fix. But the bigger problem is a noise in the engine. I dont know if its normal or not. When you engage the starter, you hear a clank right before the engine turns over, and when you turn it off from running, you hear this clank too. I have removed the top end, and the cylinder, and if i put a wrench on the stator side of the engine, and turn it back and forth i can hear the clank. It sounds like its coming from the clutch side of the engine, but i am not sure. Has anybody seen this before?
Thanks,
Matt

yea, do what he says and just ride it until it dies. Then get on the forums and complain about what a crappy product yamaha makes and how your gonna sue them. I'm sure speedy has seen allot of key ways all messed up from a loose flywheel, it'll be just fine.. no worries about checking that out..
