Default yfz450 problem maybe???

I might be having a problem down shifting. When shifting down from 4th sometimes the shifter sticks and won't move until you mess with it. It kinda sucks when you can't down shift. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does I'm usually coming into a tight corner and need to drop down into 2nd. Anyone else having this problem?

I have not had this problem happen, so far everything has been very good.

Make sure you're far enough off the gas - if you're a "no clutch" guy like me.

Default yfz450 problem maybe???

I figured out when it is doing it. It is when I'm in 4 or 5th, pull in the clutch and gear down, the shifter sticks in 4th every time. If I let the clutch out some times the shifter pops back up. If I don't use the clutch it works fine. Are any of you with 450's having this problem. If you would next time you ride try to duplicate it for me and let me know if your does it. I might have to take it back to the dealer.

Thanks for the help,

bryan

there is a problem with the shift drums having a burr on them on a few of the new YFZ's...take it to your dealer and tell them to look up the service bulletins on the 450, and this will be one of them..they will fix it under warranty.
