Default Fan over ride?

Does anyone know how to hook up a fan override switch on a 2001-2002 Grizzly? There is only one wire coming off the sensor? I was told it is a grounded circuit, and that all I have to do is run a ground to one side of a switch then on the other side of the switch tap into the sensor wire, is that all ther is to it?

That would be the easiest way to do it if the sensor works that way. If it works opposite of what you are thinking then the switch will have to be inline with the sensor

You described a parallel circuit, where the feed to the sensor is split off and taken to both the switch and the sensor. A series circuit like the second example is where the switch is wired in series with the sensor ckt, the feed to the sensor is cut, wire goes to the switch and the second contact of the switch is wired back to the sensor.

CDI----------------------------------sensor-- ground
. . . . . . .|_________________switch -- ground

is a parralel circuit

CDI--------- switch --------------- sensor-- ground

is a series circuit.

it depends how the circuit works normally but it will be one of those 2 to get the fan overide so long as its a single wire sensor as you say.
