i have a kx100, but im hooked on my friends wolverine for snow, trails, mud, everything that has to do with the forest.
i love my bike tho, cuz when im carving lines in those leaves im also roosting him ... i want a new bike tho, a 4-stroke, a WR250/450F, CRF450, CR250, YZ250, whatever... theyre all the same so its all good
Raptors are nice too!
i like the quads cuz u can powerslide and hold a wheelie easier... but i would MUCH rather have a dirtbike in the dunes and for jumping! carving lines in the sand is so much fun! sure, the quad you can powerslide and stuff.. but i like to go big

crispy - it's a little of both, Most bike motors make about the same power as the quad motors except for the top level MX bikes. With that much power and half the front end weight, the front end lifts very easy.
motojustin4 - I rode minibikes then dirt bikes for 30 of my last 38 years and switched to a Raptor last year. ATVs are more fun but it's not easy to find a place to ride once you build a race quad. I drive at least 1.5 hours to find good quad MX practice tracks and races. I had a Grizzly with a winch, 27" tires, and a big bumper for a couple of years and never had to worry about somewhere to ride, I made my own trails. If you have a track near you, I'd go for MX. Everyone wants to fly but not everyone has the ***** to learn:-)
