toomey pipes with jet kit and 2to1 filter, seems lean any input would be great

I would say if anything your rich.
I would drop down to a 260 main or so. The 280 mains are for sea level to 2000ft, and you should drop 1 main size per 1500 feet or so. But oil, reeds, and temp can make differences as well.
It's very difficult to read a plug on unleaded gas in my opinion, they just don't burn right. I bet you pick up power if you drop a size or 2 on your main jet.
Remember, lean is mean.
I run at sea level with everything in my sig, but I've dropped back to 240 Mains. The Rad Valves requires a much leaner mix. I also run cam 2 racing fuel, it's 115 octane and LEADED gas.
Just my $.02

thanx for the input brad, my machine has great power but under full aceleration and turning the machine off i pull the plug and it looks almost brand new. toomey says to put a b9ev instead of the b8es. guess it runs a little cooler.what ever happened to brown colored plugs? just dont want to burn the pistons. what are signs of detonation?
