The pingle valve is a fuel valve that replaces the stock on/off/reserve switch on your tank.

I switched carbs. However if you don't want the hassle I went through for the lectron and you don't want the steep price of FCRs there is absolutely NO better choice. And I haven't compared my set-up to a set of Craycraft modded carbs to see any differance, nor have I heard a comparrison of them to FCRs.

 

replace those crappy float bowl screws..they suck and strip very easily...doesn't make you go any faster, but your job will be a whole lot easier next time you rejet...

 

I will try the modded stock carbs first,then i am getting some lectrons and will hopefully have them buy FSw and i will let you know the diffrence..

 

Does anybody know how long the turn-around time is on Craycraft modified stock carbs?

 

I think he has some modded ones in stock for exchange. He'd just need to know what mods your engine has to set them up. So it should be a real fast turn around.

Jetting will depend on the mods you do to the airbox pipe.. but one good thing to do is clip 2 rings off the slide springs.. will improve throttle response.

I've tuned a few rappies and they are touchy.. even a couple small holes in the airbox will change your main jet a size or two, and possibly the needle clip position. But #3 is where most of em are (I tuned one with it on #4 just because it felt better and the airbox had a couple holes).
