quad for dirtbike?

#2 looks cleaner to me, but it's hard to tell because #1 is a bad picture. Looks like the stock front shock and rotor guards are hardly worn on the second one, so the bikes been well maintained, or the plastics been replaced. Those excel rims are sweet (and real expensive)! Plus it has a fresh top end in it. If it were me, I'd go with #2, if for anything the fact that #1 seems really cheap, and doesn't have all the goodies of #2. Sweet looking bike.

For top speed with stock gearing, I top out at 92, according to the handy dandy GPS. Change the gearing a little bit, and you can go over 100 pretty easy. Check out the forums at Thumpertalk.com. There's a crf450 forum, with great information. Some of the 1/4 mile times the guys that are into drag racing have gotten from the bike is crazy fast. Here's a quote from one of the posts over there:
"I ran gainesville raceway 1/4 mile with 14/39 gearing and I ran an 11.9 at 112mph."

Did I mention that I hit that 92 mph number before I get to the end of my block. You hit it like right now....Not a long slow build up. Anyway, good luck again. You'll love anything you buy. All these new bikes are built so much better than any of us can ride, makes the decisions pretty easy.
This sucks...it's still too hot to ride in September.

I felt like I was sitting on a 50hp pogo-stick at first. But now it feels like it's an extension of myself when I'm riding. Just remember about grabbing a lot of throttle. And, don't be afraid of the front brake. I'd suggest doing aggressive stops in straight line stuff, just so you get used to the feedback of the front wheel as it starts to break loose. I was too tentative with the front brake when I started riding hard, and found that it made me slower because I would brake too early going into the turns. Anyway, I'll shut up now, here I am giving advice to someone about riding bikes like I actually know what the hell I'm doing.
Good luck...you'll never turn back now!

Now I just can't wait to get a bike. It seems like it will be an eternity before I fix the tranny and sell it, but I hope to get $4000 out of it, and I have $1500 in the bank so I can kind of be flexible on the price.
BTW, would you guys have given me the same advice if you would've known then I was 14??

I don't have graphics and adds all over my bike, just the best of everything - see my signature. Again, when you get the dough let's talk.
