I also am switching, does anyone have anything good to say about a KX250?
Yes... you can find 'em cheap.

I had a 2001 KX 250 and my brother has a 2002. The '03's are awesome bikes. The only KX I would avoid is the 2000 model as it had tranny issues. If you like a grunty motor, you will love the KX.

I will be riding with a yz125 and yz426 in gravel pits, hillclimbs and woods, as well as just tearing around, I have heard the kx is a low-end monster (me like) did you like the kx that you owned?
