Anyone have any info on this for me?
RAPTOR03- i have tried a few different gear combinations for sand drags on hills and i have found that a 13-42 set up with 20" tires works very well for me.i am giving my opinion on this because i ride the dunes on most weekends and i see how much of an effect poor gear choices can have on the outcome of a race.if you get your gearing set correctly for your conditions and add an extended swingarm you could gain a few quad lengths advantage in a 300 foot race with no problem.

Oh man!! That was not cool at all for me. I was going to stop by there but I was getting ready to leave and my buddy wanted to ride the fence line one last time before we left and our wifes were waiting in the truck. Next time for sure we all need to hook up for a gathering. I just have to tinker with my gearing for now and I think the next time I go I am going to bring my tools and my truck down there so I swap out the gears when I can. My buddy is supposed to let me borrow his Radar gun and go from there. Hopefully soon. We are all going to Dumont Thanksgiving weekend and he is going to bring his Radar gun then. Hopefully I can set my gear ratios by then. I felt I did alot better with the lower gearing last Labor day weekend.
