i own a STOCK 01' ds-650 and its a really fast quad
now i wanna reaplce my ds-650 with a STOCK banshee
so i have a few questions for you banshee ownerz i hope you can answer!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img])
first what is a faster quad ? a STOCKs-650 or a STOCK banshee350
cuz i really like short races and drag races
second. what is the STOCK banshee top end??
and what quad would you prefer a STOCK BANSHEE OR A STOCK DS?

 

the ds is just about the best for drag races in the 4 stroke competition, but it isnt good for trails at all, the banshee would likely get beat but will prolly pull away slowly at top end and its a 2 stroke...keep ur ds u will be alot happier

 

still..
you think a stock ds will beat a stock banshee in short races?
i heard 2 storkes got a better start lets say 0-60 miles...
and whats a stock banshee top end?
i truly wanna reaplace my ds cuz its a TANK its 2001 model its a big machine
i want something fast strong and smaller size so i though about banshee

Get the banshee, everyone also says a stock Raptor is faster then a stock Banshee but I've had both and my stock banshee feels a lot faster then my Raptor did when it was stock so NOT IN MY CASE, Iam pretty good at judging speed and I would say my stock Rappy used to do 72 and my new banshee 74 and getting faster by the ride, I dont know if the breakin had anything to do with it: on the Rappy I followed the owners manual and with the Banshee I let it warm up good and just variade the throttle position mostly pinning it WOT for a couple of seconds and letting go and then pinning it WOT over and over again for miles and then letting it cool down and each time it got alot faster and the powerband got broader with a better bottom end response.

Iam such a Banshee advocate now and here's why this quad for me and my riding style it's goes hand and hand and selling the Raptor even after all the mods and money I did and put into it I was still had me wanting more, the banshee even stock is whole lot more fun to ride then the Rappy was.

 

A stock DS will be slightly faster/quicker than a stock Shee. Where are you ever gonna see a stock shee? A piped Shee is a whole different critter. Also a Banshee is alot cheaper to play with than the DS. A nice set of pipes for $500ish is really all you need to have alot more power and fun out of a Banshee.

i think ill take youre advices and replace my ds with a shee cuz it is a much more fun ride than the heavy ds...
and would you think only a nice pipe for a stock shee will beat a ds?

There's no other bike that responses so well to a good pipe than the Shee, the only other bike that comes close to the improvement difference a pipe makes is on a Raptor. Put a high rev pipe, remove the snorkle and rejet now your in the in the 80's.

 

jetted properly a shee with a good set of pipes will out run a stock she......and it should do it easily

concider the fact that i live in israel ....
and we dont got quad pipes and any mods for quads in israel
so it would be hard for me to ship a pipe from the us cuz the tax here is 100%... [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
so i think ill hope the stock shee will do better than the ds [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img])
and some ppl with shees in israel (we got abou 10 shee here cuz its illegal quad) claimed there stock banshee
kills a ds in no problem at short races and could win too on drag races and make 80 mph...
