It weights 398lbs. It has the most aluminum parts on it of any ATV every built, that is the source of the lightweight. It is truly unbelievable when you see the thing. It is a 660cc liquid cooled, VERY FIRST 5-valve engine on an ATV (YAMAHA Exclusive!) It comes with reverse and electric start. It has a lot of heritage from the YZ (shifter and grips) Dunlop radial (that right, radial tires!) Skid plate, hydraulic disk brakes. The engine revs to 9000rpm. Bore and stroke are 100 x 84mm, compression ratio 9,=.2:1. has the best power to weight ratio of any ATV. twin 33mm Mikuni carbs, 5 speed transmission. Front suspension 9.1", rear swingarm at 8.7". the rear is a hydraulic disk brake as well. The overall dimensions are 72 x 43.3 x 45.3 (l x w x h)

Seat height is 33.9" Wheel base is 49" 10.4 inches of ground clearance. 3.2 gallons of gas Comes in team YAMAHA Blue/White and a really cool looking black and white.

THE BEST PART IS: MSRP $6499. WOW. They will be available in August or September. The size is incredible. If you have a DS or a EX, you better trade or sell them now! YAMAHA just made them obsolete. The Banshee, Blaster and Warrior are still available in the same color schemes.

You must be THE MAN! How did you get this info early and where can we see pictures? Also, did they give a horse power rating? Thanks.

NO hp was given, however, it accelerates the fastest from 0-100yds in 5.85 seconds, the DS is a second behind that and the ex is another 1/2 behind the ds.

did I mention the top speed is in excess of 75mph?

If you are on the west coast, your dealer should have the info. The meeting was yesterday. I got a brochure from my dealer this morning.

Oh yeah, the swing arm, rear sub frame, chain adjuster, radiator, a-arms, wheel hubs/spindles, all four rims, rear shock, clutch lever, oil reservoir, brake reservoir and brake lever are all made of aluminum. No wonder it is so light. I bet there will be a titanium sub-frame available from them real quick, just like you can get for one of their YZs.

The headlights are removable as well! I can see carbon fiber all over this thing to lighten it up even more!

Sorry, I don't have a scanner to send you pics, but it is worth the wait!
