Default YZF scam

There is a very large amount of scams currently going on. Both on ebay and the trader online sites.

I will not, and would reccommend anyone else not, purchase from anyone out of the states unless it is a face to face transaction.

What sucks is for some of us trying to sell a machine. Buyers look at ebay or something and say hey, I can get the same banshee for $3000 or less, of course the machine is in europe and they will only take a wire transfer. Scams are ruining trying to sell a machine.

The basic rule of "if it sounds to good to be true it probably is" has to be used. No one is going to sell any late model machine for less then half of what it is worth. Use common sense.

And I too feel for the high bidder in some of these auctions, they most likely loose their money and they definately never get anything.

Oh, and you can email ebay at spoof@ebay.com about any of the frauds. I have done it numerous times and the auctions always disapear within a few hours.

Default YZF scam

I know of another kid on a YFZ board that got taken by the portugal scam. Came on looking for handouts cause he lost his $1,500. Said he was to send $1,500 to the seller, the seller would send the YFZ over for inspection and then the buyer would send the balance. The kid sent the loot and got dick.

You'd think that with all the profit ebay rakes in from all the auctions that they'd be able to afford to assign people to watch over and weed out the scams. If we are able to easily pick out the scams, you'd think someone getting paid to do it would be even more motivated. These scams are portraying ebay in a very negative manner, especially since they usually tell people who got scammed that they're SOL!

I also live by the motto,"If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is." I also never hand over any cash unless I've seen it and rode or tested it. You can't be too careful nowadays!

Ebay has to be neutral almost. You dont have to click and buy. People get excited and dont take the time to think things through before they bid and buy. It's a shame for all those that have lost money. Maybe it wont be long till something is done.

Has anyone left feedback saying that it may be a scam. I can't get to ebay from my work computer or I would.

Just checked, and its coming up as an invalid item, so my guess is ebay removed it after being alerted.

Bubba- You're right, it comes down to the buyer, sometimes they don't think things through before bidding.
