I've got a 04 banshee with the normal mods pipes, k&n, boost bottle, and reeds. Well anyways my banshee is only like 2 months old and i let one of my buddies ride it in our Homecoming parade the other day and when i got it back there was gear oil everywhere. I found out that it was coming from behind the white plastic piece under the sprocket. Took it off and looked at the o-ring behind it and it was still good. Put it back together and it still leaks. Anyone had this problem before and if so how did you fix it. Thanx

General rule of thumb I found out the hard way: NEVER let a buddy ride your stuff. NEVER. About the leaking oil, Ive never heard of that. Check your oil level, is it even motor oil leaking?

When you say that you checked the O-ring? did you look at the gasket around the shift lever.(where it goes into the engine?) that is a common seal to go bad...and a really easy fix.

 

'04's have only been out for two months, let the warranty take care of it.

 

Whatever it is, the warenty should cover it.

 

Will the warranty still cover it since i got pipes and all that stuff???
