Warrior or Rancher 4x2
#1
Iam looking to buy a new Quad, and I have narrowed my choice down to 2. Either the Warrior or the Rancher 4x2. Most of the riding I do are bush trails, cottage roads, abanded railway beds, and even a little bit of mudding around. So what would be the best quad for me.

Depends on what you want. The Warrior is great for sand, mud, high speed. But if you're looking to haul stuff, it's definately not the choice. It'll do it but the clutch is a hastle with a big load. If you're getting it just for fun, Warrior. If it's utility, buy a utility.

I have a 97 Warrior and a Rancher 4x2. I love em both but that rancher is too awesome. It and the Recon will do just about anything but fly. Speaking of flying, the Warrior will fly pretty good. Its fun in mud if you get your speed up. I'm going to sell the Warrior. It seems to be parked more than it's ridden because we hit the north texas muddy trails a lot.

I changed my mind, I can't get rid of the warrior! I had so much fun on it last weekend, I'm going to keep it. Plus I've had it in the Dallas Paper for two weeks and i've gotten four calls. Maybe 3500.00 is too much to ask for a 97 but It's certainly not worth giving away for any less.

I have a 00' kodiak, 00' warrior and I did have 2 00' warriors but I sold one speculating the raptors comming. If it were me and I were planing to ride the areas you were speaking of I would buy the honda Rancher es 4x2 full floorboards and that cool gage cluster are worth the extra 200.00 for the ES model, I think anyway. The warriors have a pain in the you know what exposed chain drive and a manual clutch , which I think are both important minus points for the warrior and your type of riding. But my best recomendation is to take a close look at the Kodiak 4x2, it is in the same price range as the other two and I love my 00' 4x4 Kodiak especialy the part time 4 wheel drive.
