Advancing the timing will improve low end, but also makes more power throughout. Racelogic products work very well. However they are done with reliability in mind. A good place to start with, but FAR from getting the power you can get. When you get ready to do the transfer port windows, get ready to spend $1000 for the equipment. Glad the bike is doing good for you. Bet it seems like you got on a different bike.

Timing advance will give you power everywhere. We used a drag key in my bro's 'shee and the results are surprising....it's cheap power.

Why what kind of equipment do I need? I can get in there with my 90 degree dremel attachment. Racelogic recommended rasing the transfer port windows to 43mm from the top of the cylinder but I decided to not raise them and instead cleaned them all out and removed casting flaws only. I also did not raise my exhuast port only made it widered. It sure does fell like a different bike.
