Default Raptor running rich

I love this forum, I really do.... but the inconsistent advice is driving me bonkers.

Ex: I did a search to find out when removing the parking brake switch on my warrior, whether to leave the ends disconnected or connect them together. 50/50 split, people claiming to have done it said to do it both ways.

Back to this thread.... less air EQUALS RICHER, not lean. If the goggles were blocking airflow, that would create a rich condition, not lean. The reason is this, you need the correct ratio of air a fuel. Too much air, too little fuel equals LEAN. Too much fuel, too little air equals RICH. So, if you block airflow, less airflow has the same effect as going too large on a jet, too much fuel to the decreased airflow ratio. And if you go up on the jets w/o increasing airflow, too much fuel for the airflow...too rich.

sounds like mine only my problem was the dial-a-jet and when they get wet it would sputter pop and not run at all sometimes... specialy trying to climb a hill.. i am removeing the dial-a-jet now and going to a 150/155 (keihen jets) and stock pilots... hopefully it will clean up all the bad karma in the motor...

Float level to high or stuck float.
Choke plunger sticking.
Carb not jetted right and/or mix screws are set too rich.

i bet its still jetted for the yoshi pipe.the directions from yoshi only change the mains and air/fuel mixture when the lid is removed.if you have the baffle in your stock pipe, take it out to lean it a little.this will help to see what you are dealing with.i would get a dynojet kit and start from scratch.with all the different variables involved you have to get the right parts in first before you can make the right adjustments.
