Default Colder plug than DP9-EA9?

Heat range is closer (no blistered porcelain:-) but still not at the middle of the ground strap, more like 1/4 of the way up. Checked the stealership and auto parts store and neither could find a colder plug than DP9-EA9. Thoughts?

We looked for a DP10 and couldn't find one listed. I know your motor is pretty modded Slim, is the heat line on your ground strap right at the bend with the DP9?

Yes. The heat range according to the plug is dead on; starts right below the bend of the strap and goes just past the bend on top of the strap and tapers off just after. Slim

I was also told that they do not make them.

For all you guys looking for a plug that is more than one step colder than stock. This is for you I talked to a NGK Rep and was asking about a colder plug than a DPR9EA-9 for a Raptor and I found that we can use JR10B the stock # is 1299 and the Bike that it fits..... 86-88 GSXR 1100. How this helps with some problems for somebody.

This was posted by LOWBOWTIE a while back.

UBETRUN- You posted a reply to this post. Did you forget?

Hope this helps you,

Street

Yes WallStreet, I did forget until I did a search for "Raptor AND plug" earlier this afternoon and found LOWBOWTIE's thread. I guess I have a little problem with short-term memory loss:-)

I found the JR10B at www.sparkplugs.com. I'm going to check the stealerships tomorrow and if they don't have them, place an internet order.

Still trying to make these FCRs scream like the stockers on the top end. I'm going leaner after I get the heat range a little better. If it blows, the whole thing is going to Craycraft for an upgrade.

Ubetrun, At the Zuki shop they look at you funny when you ask for GSXR plug JR10B and you only buy #2!
