Default Banshee Idleing Problems

I got a 04 Banshee and just got the Tors kit installed with the idle screws, which are turned all the way in, and it still won't idle. I turned the adjusting bolts on top of the carbs out to try to bring the slides up a little bit but when i rode it the throttle hung and about killed me. Has anybody had the same problems if so what did you do to make it idle. Thanx

First of all, check to see if your idle screws are acually touching the slides. ( Did you shave down the spot for the screws before your drilled and tapped them...

I agree....before I tapped the holes for the idle screws....I had to shave down the area on the carbs....

Also make sure the slides are put back in with the slanted cut towards the air filter, if it in wrong it wont allow air to enter at idle and this happens when you put the left slide in the right and the right in the left, be care and double check it.

Hiram has a good point there. The other thing that can happen is that the locating screw for the slide can back out (off the top of my head I don't remember if this is the idle speed screw or not). My brother had this happen to him and it made some goofy things happen!!!!!

From what I have seen and heard... the TORS kits are notorious for sticking... I don't have a solution for you right now but they seem to be worse in humid and cold weather in our area.

Hope this helps
