Well I got my steering stem... over all I wasn't displeased with Lonestar. I'm not sure what kind of turn around you get with fabricator/manufacturers in general but I was lead to believe that 2 1/2 weeks on a first year quad (yfz) isn't all that bad. I was just used to dealing with places like Rocky Mountain... you order it and its immediately shipped.

I haven't got a chance to put the stem to the test but just looking at it makes me feel good... if it performs as good as it looks I'll be really pleased. The only downside was that the stem didn't come with any type of instructions... granted I took the stock one out and the Lonestar just goes back in the same way so it wasn't difficult... it just seemed odd that they didn't include even a picture of how it clamps up. Besides the stem and clamp all you get is your packing slip, invoice and a bunch of styrofoam fluff stuff LOL.

It's been over 3 weeks since I've gotten to ride so right now that I've got it back together I'm just thrilled enough that all the bad memories of waiting for the stem are gone.

No its not that they dont care about you, its just other people do hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of business with lonestar. THESE are the people that keep LS in business so they can support YOU. If you know these people you get your stuff immediately. Yesterday i bought 3 swingarms and a drag axle, got everything the same day at under retail prices.

Again, its who you know

Ive had the honor of crashing 2 lonestar frames, one at a 65mph head on collision, and one at a 75mph roll, both of the frames were unharmed and were able to be put back online with little work.

sparksraptorrider: i agree. i've spent alot of money on LSR products...axles, 2 sets of a-arms, subframe, Hubs. this is a drop in the bucket compared to the business they normaly do. and unfortunately, they make you feel that way.

when i tried finding out why stock hubs kept loosening up. they never returned my calls or emails. well i did'nt go away and i finally got a hold of someone over there. there response was."well you need our hubs" so i bought them...they still loosened up. and after a years worth of riding they completely failed. come to find out they don't press steel splines into their hubs. so the the axle (thiers mind you) just cored out the splines of the hubs until they were just free spinning on the axle. of course this happened deep in the woods.

anyways. i took pics and prepared them to ship back. wrote them 2 emails with pics attached of problem and failed parts. there response was. "1 year warranty" sorry.

this was obvious design flaw. aluminum splines on steel splines and the tourqe of a 660. and i had just bought the Raptor subframe a month before my problem. you think they would of worked something out with me. i was completey cool. and thought they would be interested in seeing the failed parts for future inprovements... or whatever.

i quess if your not spending 10K or more...they don't give an s. they had several opportunities to make me feel other wise and do the right thing. but didn't.

i won't bad mouth them...historicaly their stuff is great. but they're getting the big company attitude. and i can't reward that with my hard earned cash again. there are plenty of other great aftermarket co's now. i'll take my chances with them before i go back to LSR. i was warned by people on this forum and did'nt listen. my bed...i have to sleep in it.

oh well...but not again.

good luck

what do you mean there stuff looks 15 years old? Have you seen their 3/4 tube swingarms? TOP NOTCH! have you seen their titanium 3/4 swingarms? First class! Ti weighs 6lbs, and the chromo weighs 9lbs.

I dont see anybody else except HS running 3/4 Ti S-arms and only a handful of other companies running 3/4 period! your crazy gary...crazy gary. Kind of has a ring to it.
