Default Fuel Filter

That's for sure, I learned on my 686 Raptor. The one I tried from Home Depot was white plastic that you could sort of see and a wide flat screen. With the carb hose disconnected, it just barely trickled gas.

My new one is from Trak Auto, clear plastic with a long tube and screen. It comes with 3 different sets of adapters for different size gas lines that screw into the chrome ends of the clear tube. It's made for a car, no worries feeding a quad motor. With the carb hose disconnected, it pours gas.

Definately run a see through in-line filter. It will keep all that crap out of your carbs. Never has it effected the rate of fuel flowing into the carbs. Unless, of course they are blocked with crap. They also make it easier to see if your carbs are getting fuel if you have a starting problem.
