Default Bent Valve

yamamayzf1000r - All Craycraft stuff that I bolted together. Craycraft-spec JE piston, heat/friction coatings, and porting are probably proprietary but anyone can get them if they buy from Bob Craycraft. From what I've read, the few stock rods that had problems didn't last more than a few rides. There was a learning curve for boring the cylinder to the right specs, I think that had something to do with some of them.

Default Bent Valve

Just bent my center intake valve in an '04 660. Did you ever find the cause of your bent valve?

This thread is quite a few years old and this issue has been addressed. For new camshafts like the stage 2, most webcams, and others there can be a clearance issue with the center valve. My understanding is that some come off the line without the valve guide completely depressed into the head and therefore require machining to get proper clearances. Cheacking the clearance on the valves is something that should be done whenever installing a higher compression piston or more aggressive camshaft.
