i have a 2000 blaster with fmf pipe and silencer, i still use the stock 230 jet. i did a plug test and my plug is kindof a light black color, kinda between black and brown, is this the right jetting. also i just ordered boyessen reeds and a mossabarger reed spacer. should i rejet with these. could everyone with a blaster tell me there mods, what jet they run, and what temp. they ride in?

Novaman,
Sorry, my mistake....I checked the Archives and it was someone else with a name (sorta) that sounded like yours. My many apologies.
A little history, several months ago, I made a deal to purchase a pipe. The person renegged, leaving me holding nothing. For some reason, I was thinking it was you.
My Brain-Fart. I hope you can accept my apology! I removed my original message that I sent.

I have a 97 blaster with a dg racingsilencer and pipe and it is bored and the carb and intake is getting ported which should open my pipe and silencer to the full extent. also i got carbon fiber reeds from boysen and I ride in Florida so i gues that is hot. when I get my engine I tell u how it turns out.

Do you accept my apology. Again I thought you were someone else. If I embarrassed, humiliated you, etc. I really do apologize!
Anyway, I am also thjinking about putting a set of Pro Circuit pipes on my son's 99 Blaster.
YSA in Arizona sell the nickle-plated FMF and Pro Circuit Pipes and Silencers for $230.00.
Is this a good price? Which do you prefer and why?

yes i forgive you. i was just very confused. i would reccomend the fmf pipe. noone has used the pro circuit but everyone that owns the fmf pipe loves it. with my stock pipe on my staigtaway on my track i would get to 4th gear by the end with my fmf pipe i get to 6th gear halfway down the straight, also my mid end power kills and my top and low end is better. does anyone know what i should rejet to if i put a uni air filter, boyessen reeds, and reed spacer. right now i have the stock 230 jet and have an fmf pipe and silencer on.

I would recommend removing the snorkle off of the air box and going up 2-3 sizes on the main. Things will really start to happen with these mods. The blaster motor needs more air before it can really shine.
I run fmf pipe and silencer, uni filters, boyesen reeds and the snorkle removed. I currently am running a 280 main. On plus 90 degree days with high humidity it will build up when just trail riding but anything cooler it runs great.
