For a Raptor: front wheel spacers OR flipped wheels??
#11
I've got 2"(total) offset wheels on my rappy. It helps alot. I was thinking of flipping my wheels, but didn't want to have to weld up the hole and redrill, etc. After reading one of the posts on here though about the flush mounted valve stems, thats a thought.......oh well....... I'm getting a set of wheels spacers for the rear to compliment the offset wheels up front in about a week or so. If you don't feel comfortable with the spacers up front(like I did) and don't want to flip the wheels, I think offset wheels are a great option.

Where do i get the flush mount valve stem to give this a try?
Oh, and, do i need to take the tires off to swap these?

You don't need any special valves. All i did was mount a stock standard valve and turned it the wrong way around. Meaning it points into the tyre cavity, instead of it pointing out like a normal valve. Works fine. Just put a bit of grease around the valve and the valve opening.

Freez how do you fill the tire then? That doesn't sound right.
There is no where around here i can get to unseat the tire for the flush mount stems. All the tire places say the rim is to small. And, the Dealers are jokes!

Yes, I had to drill another hole on the other side of the rim. I also had a normal tyre place remove and swap the tyres around. Took them less than a minute to do it. When you drill the other hole make sure you measure the old hole and use the same drill size to make the new whole. It is much smaller than the rubber valve you insert, so don't use the valve size to choose the drill size.
