I am from the dirt bike world and have never had a 4 wheeler, I have about $3000 to spend and want a Brand new 2 stroke that will last and go moderately fast.
What is the track record of the trail blazer and blaster, your experience and advise is appreciated. Mike

This normally does start a major war.

But tell me where you will be riding and i can e-mail you or we can talk on AOLIM. I'm not going to post it on here. I don't feel like arguing my points with some one less mature.

Aaron,
I will be ditch riding mostly seldom getting to high gear for too long, I am more concerned with how fast i can get there and the suspension for jumping. I am 5'9 170#, reply to my email miker567@worldspy.net
I would really be interested in hearing your story of why you switched, appreciated Mike.

i have rode both a blaster and a trail blazer and i would sugest a blaster over the trailblazer because the blaster jumps real good because it is real lite over the trailblazer i jumped my friends trailblazer and it is like your popping a wheelie in the air, and for going through the water go with the blaster again because when water gets it the belt driven transmission the belt will start to slip. not to put down the trailblazer or any thing but if polaris put a chain drive on the trailblazer it would be a pretty good quad.

hope this info helps.

A TrailBlazer is Chain Driven. Also I have a Polaris and the belt has never slipped once, I have tried to make it slip but it won't. You said that you would be jumping alot so I would have to recommend the Blaster, the Blazer is just too heavy.

Miker, I believe the TrailBlazer is $3500 to the 2001 Blasters $3099 (now with Hydro. rear Brakes) I'm 5'-8", 165lbs. and my blaster feels fine, their are alot of mods for the blaster too. I got the CT 240 kit, it ROCKS! No trail blazer will keep up with it at all. Don't even try to argue with that Polaris owners. Not knocking the TrailBlazer if you want a good trail rider with automatic and 100lbs. more weight and got a extra $400 to spend , go for it. TrailBlazer does have way better brakes I will give them that. The Blaster has been tried and true for so long why would they change something that sells so good. And the Blaster is easy to work on too. My choice was the Blaster. I have owened lots of Yamahas and they are wre very good. Honda also makes very good machines but not in that price range. See Ya!
