Helmets? yes or No

When I was younger I never wore one, hell no one I knew did. I didn't start wearing one until I got the Tri-Z. Now I wear one at all times. I use the full face when riding hard on the Raptor and wear a skateboard helmet when riding the 'Bear. I had worn a regular open face motorcycle helmet when riding the 4x4, but I looked silly. So I looked at the bicycle helmets and I looked even more silly with one of those. Then I saw the skateboard helmet and it has a hard plastic shell instead of the flimsy ones on the bicycle helmets. The one I have is flat black which is good when I'm hunting and it looks pretty good on me. But I'd never use it on the Raptor. =)
Do I preach? No. I have been preached at for WEARING a helmet, but that soon stopped when I told them I'd beat them over the head with it if they didn't shut up. I think the irony got to them cause now a lot of my buddies are wearing them.

I almost always wear mine....Certain occassions I don't, but only when I'm almost 100% sure nothing can happen (never can be 100% sure).
I had just put my helmet on before taking this video CLICK HERE TO VIEW (IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS, RIGHT CLICK - SAVE AS .
Very glad I did.

Old Dragginbutt here again... I wonder how many guys have commented that they didn't wear one religously until they had an accident... well, that is why they call them accidents.. you can't always plan for them... they just happen. Count yourself lucky if you came out of it with nothing more than a bruise or two. Hey, I am just as bad... Had to learn that lesson over and over several times.
Also glad to hear others are "Looking out for the sport" as well.. It really is up to all of us to introduce others to the sport, and teach them to do things right from the start. I have to get after my 8 year old all the time. He has scared the stuffing out of himself a couple of times, so it doesn't take much reminding thank fully.

I always wear mine but i try to not get too pushy about others wearing them.If you ride my quad you wear a helmet or stay off.I have seen some major head injuries from not wearing a helmet so i was scared into wearing one early on but i still believe that it should be your choice as long as you are not on my machine.

I haven't touched this topic yet, but I now feel the need to say that EVERYONE should wear a helmet ANYTIME they ride.
Today, while riding my Raptor, I had an accident. Not too serious, but my helmet, without a doubt saved my life.
