Which would you reather have 2 or 4 stroke?
I'm a desert rider....4-stoke all the way.
Besides, there have been times when I needed to pull into someplace off the trail and get gas. Guess what, I don't need to bring my oil along just fill her up.

If I wanted to go in a straight line - fast - you know the answer. For all other purposes a 4-stroke and specifically the YFZ. In terms of motocross (dirtbikes), the 4-stroke is begining to take over - the only reason to run a 2-stroke is maintenance and perhaps "feel" if you just can't give it up.
In the next few years, I'm going to begin building machines for my little guys and will probably go with shees simply for the maintenance factor. It may be a while before they can ride them, but who cares - they'll be ready. And when they break 'em it won't put a dent in my wallet like the 4-strokes.
