Anybody know how to get some more midrange on a blaster. I ride at a motocross track and i need some low end and midrange bad. i have enough top for this track but not enough acceleration to clear all the jumps

Stick with a smaller carb to maintain velocity. That 36mm carb that you allude to in my opinion will be pretty large to ride MX with. Might want to consider a 30-34mm flat slide carb.

Also increases in compression will create more low to mid range power. That should be a part of the porting modifications that you are planning to have done. A totally re-designed head with a better pocket shape, properly set-up squish band and compression ratio to match the octane of the fuel you choose to afford, will create much better mid range power.

Aftermarket reeds may help with throttle response in the low to mid range RPM's, but not alter the peak HP by that much(a different reed cage design is required to get that in any appreciable amount)
