My girlfriend made the mistake of looking at his leg today..couldn't get her to eat one of my steaks! I don't see what bothers y'all so much heh I ate right through it.

 

Glad you guys like the pic!!!! haha, I was riding the DRZ in the pics and went around a corner that I could not see around and there was a quad comming the other way. He kinda t-boned me and that was the result. I had to have skin graphs done to fix it and I was in a bed for a month and a half. It was not fun. I was still on crutches and could barley walk but fixed the bike anyways, it was fixed before I could even go back to work. I would rather have a few more cuts (not that big) then have this raptor locked up on me but oh well I guess. At least my health insurance pays for the cuts [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Raptor owner, would the one way lock the motor up when it goes or does it just depend???

If it were bad enough I heard the gears may break also and cause it to lock up. Pull the starter cover and look inside. Easy job, and see if you can see anything there.

My friends Raptor just locked up out of the blue today and shot something out through the valve cover it sounded like it stalled but had a loud pop then we noticed a 3/4 inch hole in the valve cover over by the timing chain area, but it is totally locked up. Wierd.

 

Did you pull the valve covers?

My first thought was timing chain, since its an 02. If it was an 01 I would guess tranny even though you can shift it. I doubt its the one way, but anything is possible I guess.
