Default warrior ?

overall, warriors are good bikes. i know b/c we (me and my family) had about 4 of them (and lots of other bikes) thru the years . a warrior was my first quad. i loved it, but the handling wasnt real great and the weight bias was off- it was front heavy. In 1990, yamaha moved the engine back in the frame about 4inches and moved the lights up top. these handeld a little better, but ironically mine always felt faster than the newer ones.. since 1990 there hevent been many changes, mostly colors and "bold new graphics." Anyway, warriors have been aound since 1987 and could use a makeover - lose some pounds, get better shocks, refine the chassis and more power.

The warrior still sells well and is a decent bargain. But unless they do something, the z-400 and its clones will eventually take this segment from yamaha b/c riders want more performance than the warrior can currently offer.
