This is a question for all you guys drag racing raptors. which one would be better a 20x10x8 8 paddle hauler or a 21x12x8 7 paddle hauler for a 686 stage II cam raptor?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I run a 20x10x10 on my 686 stage II 11:1 but I do alot of dune riding as well. I like the smooth transistion from my stockers to my paddles. From the races I have attended, the preference seems to be with a taller tire.

Is this a trick question?
For two sets of tires so close <u>that</u> is alot of differance. I think probably the 21's would be a faster tire.

I have 20x10x10-10 paddles on now and they won't hook up off the line. My next set will be 22x??x8-10 paddles.

 

No trick, just asking I found a set for sale. (7 Paddles) I want to buy new tires also just not sure if I can pull a 10 paddle? If I could I want 21x12x8 10 paddle Double buff Haulers on .125 Wheels. ( I hope santa is watching)

 

I run 9 paddles with no problems. I think I would be shy of getting less than eight paddles. You'll probably just spin.

I wonder how many guys run 10 paddles at places like pismo where the sand is wet.

 

Most guys run the 21x12x8 9 paddle Haulers..... But i run 21x12x8 10 paddle EXTREME haulers!!!!

 

300 foot sand drags: 10 paddles

Racing up Olds hill: 7 paddles

 

guess I should have mentioned that mine are extremes. Gives way more bite than normal haulers!
