Default Where to buy Yamalube?

After searching the boards for this, I guess I'm the only one who doesn't know. Do I have to buy it from the dealer or do some Autozones/Walmarts carry it?

Rocky MountainATV and others sell it.

Switch to AMSOIL. You can find a dealer by going to the AMSOIL website or become one yourself for a small yearly fee.

Yamalube is genuine Yamaha brand oil and must be purchased from a Yamaha dealer. Amsoil is good oil, but if your machine is under warranty, don't use it. Wait until you are out of factory coverage. Its not a bad idea to break in your new engine with non-synthetic oil first anyway. No one ever wore out an engine prematurely by running clean factory oil. Once out of warranty, go ahead with Amsoil or Spectro oil if its easier for you to get.

I get mine from the dealer, doesn't really seem worth it to buy a case or whatever from Rocky Mountain et al

I guess if I changed mine more often, it would be better to buy that way

Yep, sounds just like a dealer. What a load of BS....I suppose you tell customers if they change their own oil or adjust their valves this voids the factory warranty? Sounds like a nice little SCAM you have going on there. You will not keep customers like that.

THats with a shipping and handling fee of around $12-15. About a 400% markup over the dealers actual cost is what we pay at the stealership. Also, the labor at the dealer is being performed by the punk kid that hates his job and has very little experience being a mechanic.
