Pretty soon im gonna be heading to a track with me and my buds its filled with lots of jumps and stuff, ive never been there before and was wondering if anyone ever went to the place it Jack Frost TRAXX atv/dirbike park.
Well anyway what can i do to my quad to make it run and perform better so some 300ex wont show me up or a mohave or something. Im greaseing all my bushing and stuff and cleaning up everything but what else could i do.
Its a 98 Warrior with fmf mega max 2 pipe jet kit, dg skidplates and ceet stuff. How can i seat my shock so i wont bottom out if i do.

Thanks

Set the front shocks on the stiffest setting 4 or 5 slot on the preload. There easy to adjust. Adjust your back semi tight with the rebound dampning at medium speed let out. Don't want back end bouncing around on triple or double jumps. I have custom built a mx track for my warrior and my best friends 300ex. My family is in the constuction bussiness so I had access to a bobcat and backhoe which translates to one badass atv track with big jumps. We got a jump with a seven foot lip that throws you ten+ feet high in the air for a whopping 35-40feet distance depending on approach speed. Take it from me the key to jumping is correct speed on your approach(depends on distance needed to clear), Angle of the take off jump is correct( it wants to look like your front end will soar- steep), landing ramp has a nice long downslope to create smooth landing, and last but not least have give good throttle on takeoff to get front end up. Don't want front end to do a nose dive prior to landing been there wrecked that. Most off all have ***** and hangon. Better to go too hard then soft. It not hard building big jumps by hand either two shovels a couple nights a week you can have a huge jump. My friend and I can throw down no handers, rear+front fender grabs, no footers, nothings, and even a semi heelclicker. It rocks and we have stock suspension. At times we bottom out but you just hang on. The key is good angle of takeoff, throttle off the lip of jump, and balance *** over axle with bent knees. Make sure your greased and most importantly your K&N is cleaned and under oiled. Don't over do it can choke out carb. Make sure idle and jetting is correct and go kick those mohave and 300's ***. I live in Md. not far from Gettysburg Pa. and have been skiing and 4-wheeling at Jack Frost. It's a blast but you better have skills hitting the two different mx tracks on a stock warrior. The warrior suprisingly is a great jumper and very stable in air. I switch with my friend and he agrees the warrior is a better jumper even though it is heavier then the 300. I saw someone get F##ked up there so be careful. E-mail me at bschisler@aol.com and tell me how it goes.

Ok I'll email ya the results.

Well I am ok at jumping me and friend he jut got a great deal on completly tricked out lt 250 quad racer but this are crappy jumps that theres no way to hit hard cause you land in woods and hit tree. Over weekend we got video camera and filmed eachother which was cool he has a twist throttle which he hates cause over weekend he hit jump and feel bac a little and then gave it a full twist and flew into a tree but nothing was harmed. These little jumps suck but i manage a wheel turn, or a one leg kick into the air. When yo hit the jumps how do you get ready to launch off i get my knees bent and just as my quad is ready to leave the groud press down my feet and jump with the 4 wheeler. And thanks for the info and tech thats exactly what my next post was gonna be about
