First things I did,

ESR exhaust
Intake
cam mod
nerfs

go with the ESR sparks or Thunder Alley pipe and get a good intake...

You could get the red/white YFZ and put the red headlight covers on it. I bet it would look awesome with that and maybe the GYT-R graphics kit. You could also get some GYT-R a arm skid plates because they are awesome. Really gives the front of the yfz a undestructable look. If you got the money for a lot of Gyt-r stuff, you could get the sport bumper as well.

well here's the deal...if i get GYTR i can work it into the financing...and they said they'll cover everything in warranty. im financing to buy my self some time so i can sell the raptor. i'm gonna put some of the stock parts back on and sell off the LSR subframe...a-arms w/elka's and some other stuff. hell maybe i'll part the whole damn quad. i'd probably make more.

well i quess it's looking like white...anyone using kenda's?

Well Kuz, I've got a story for you that you should find useful. A friend of mine just parted out his 00' Yz250 after he bought his 04'. He sold everything(and I mean everything) seperately unless it was part of a system(ie: brake system went as a whole unit), and made more money selling parts than just selling the bike out right! He made out so well on it that he PAID for his 04'. Especially with all the stuff you have on your raptor you should be able to make a handsome profit on parting yours out.

O and I almost forgot my votes are:

1) White & Red (they look AWSOME!)
2) Definately get a pipe, and have them open up the air box. Its makes that thing a BEAST!
3) I would suggest a good set of Skids. Frame, and swingarm. I can't tell you how many times they've saved me from being left stranded out in the middle of no where.
4) As others have said I HIGHLY suggest getting new rubber.(as a matter of fact your current wheels and tires should bolt right up. )

Other than that.....join the crowd of us that no longer spend thier whole ridding trip worrying about what will break next.

i don't know about the white boyz...i kinda like the look of the blue...they sorta look like blue sharks. however the red frame would look fn trick with black plastics by fullbore...love those vents in the nose.

any more advice on the pipes...anyone else have the GYTR pipe. and is their any benefits over titanium, aluminum or carbon fiber?

Kuz - Congrats on the decision ... you will LOVE it!! BTW - I got my 4Runner and I love it!!!

1. I have the blue ... it holds up ok, I kinda regret not getting the white when I see them around

2. I bought the GYTR full pipe and then sold it before putting it on ... its got 2 huge dents in it that are suppose to be there and I was not impressed with the overall quality. Im much happier with my HMF slip-on

3. Forget the GYTR options, Im not impressed with them and they are real spendy

4. First things ... Nerfs, skids and bars are a very good start.

The stock rubber is pretty good, I went to the kendas cause I wanted the smaller diameter. I really like the Klaws though

well i bought the white and red.

I also got the gytr high compression piston, jet kit, aluminumn pipe and3 year warranty. Normaly i'd do the work...but hey, yamaha had the options...it's gets worked in as one price...they do the work and warranty it. i'm happy. i did'nt buy the skids, nerfs, grab bars yet...i'm liking AC racing for most of that stuff.

i saw a trick set of ac nerfs that had a peg and heel guards all in one...anyone got those yet?

most likely Kenda's for tires...i have a set of Champion beadlock rims that i used for MX for the raptor...im thinking about adding the kenda's on them and put the stockers away as back ups.

Q's
-what gas are you running?
-what engine mods have people been doing to squeeze performance?
-has anybody else got the GYT-R piston?
-what handle bar bends are people running...anyone using cr low bend?

schwendi: thanks dude...congrats on the Runner...how you like it. did you get the 8 or the 6?
