I have a 98' sport 400l. And a couple of my friends have stock 99' banshees. Our sport has just recieved a Pipe, Silencer, and Clutch kit from HPD. The thing is that those 2 guys that own the banshees, want me to come race with them (drag race) down a 400 yard field..The question is do you think that our sport400l with those pipe sielncer and clutch kit will keep up with a stock banshee? The pipe/silencer and clutch kit are "trail series", so it gives me alot more low end and mid range, along with quite a bit of top. Thanks its appreciated

If they start to pull ahead, play 'road rash' style.

...you know, chains, whips, pipes, sticks...

300exster,
I replied in the Polaris forum & e-mailed you. Basically keep the race as short as possible. The Banshees top end is awesome, but I don't get "caught" until their 4th gear. I just have a pipe & clutch kit.

I'm not bagging on anyone but if your friends can ride...meaning if they can put the power to the ground you might want to sit that race out and leave them wondering.

You don't have to sit it out. Like I said Banshees don't catch me until my 4th gear. Your quad weighs less than mine. Besides if you even come close you win in a way. The only thing is your friends may wonder why you want to race less than 150 ft or so...
