Depending on what type of riding you do you might like a twist throttle. You can usually find them for 25-50 dollars. I have a twist and dont like it as much for trail riding. But if your riding open areas they are great.

Yes, they are worth $20. Look at the one Rocky Mountain ATV sells that's adjustable, it's better than just a straight extension. I used one for a year until I switched to a twist throttle but if your wife never used a twist throttle before, I would not recommend learning on a quad.

We bought the moose thumb assist and put them on two of our quads. They made the world of difference for my youngest daughter and my wife. They both love 'em, wish we had put them on sooner.

Hi rescuediver, What kind did you get? The adjustable or the straight?

Thats what I was thinking Jarod. Looks to me ya could tape something similar in shape to the thumb throttle to TRY it out before shelling out the bucks. I was gonna get one for my 87 BigBear, it had the stiffest spring thumb throttle that I had ever felt. My thumb was big around as a siver dollar I traded it off before I ever got one.
