Well im thinking about getting a twist throttle. What do you guys think, and prefer?? What have been your experiences with the twist throttle and what are your likes and dislikes about them. Thumb throttle all the way.

 

i like thumb.. i dont think a twist would be very good for whoopd and rough trails...

 

well im sure you already know what most peoples dislikes about twist is, if you land hard from a jump or hit a big bump (not trying to sound like Dr. Seuss) youll twist the throttle and the bike will, ... well, do what it does when you twist the throttle. For me its not so much a matter of preferance though, its just what im used to, if im riding a quad, i expect a thumb, if im on a bike, i want twist.

 

LOL thanks guys. thats what I was thinking. WHen I was thinking about it I thought about the woops, if there pretty nasty and my arms jerk im screwed and i'll be on the ground. lol

 

I like a thumb throttle. It's just better in the rough terrain. I learned on a twist and I wrecked more with a twist. Nothing major.

I also prefer thumb. I bought the twist and did have problems going over whoops and jumping. Now it I have a twist sitting in the garage. Waste of money for me.

 

The only twist throttle I ever drove was a Quadzillla into a tree, rapping that two stroke monster out as I rounded a corner and holding on for dear life as the front end came off the ground and there was no steering as I hit the tree. F- the twist throttle, it has no place on a quad.

 

I personally prefer a twist throttle on my raptor. I have not had any problems in whoops or jumping or anything. Guess its just what you prefer
