Alright, whatcha do is ride it at no more than 3/4 throttle for about 1 or 1 1/2 tanks of gas, you can do the occasional hammer on the throttle, but do not hold the throttle if you do it, just give a full throttle tap every now and then (doesnt mean every time you let off to get back on it). Once your rings are set, you should be good to go, just take it easy for the first few tanks of gas.

warming it up and cooling it down helps too.. like if you sitting around doing nuthin.. start it up and let it run for 20 mins.. then shut it down.. and do it again in 30-40 mins or so.

Hozed has the right idea. The motor builder for my banshee told me to do the warm up and cool downs before taking it out for a ride. We do this usually 3 times at least. When the pipes get warm shut er off and let her cool completely down, then repeat again. I usually get a half tank of gas through mine before I ride it like I just stole from my neighbor.
