I was wondering because my neighbors have a 400ex and I wanted to get a wolverine.

 

I think the 400ex will be a little faster, but I am not sure. The cluch kit thing is around $100

top speed the wolverine runs in the 50s and the 400ex runs in the 60s. On the straights and out of the hole he will out accelerate you. In the woods though, it wont really matter unless your racing.

 

im sure a wolverine could hang with a 400ex and with a pipe it would give it a run for its money

 

you would think so, but not really.

 

Stock the 400ex is probably around 8 to 10 mph faster than the Wolverine. The 400ex is supposed to be around 64-65 mph stock. The Warrior has a top speed around 60 mph stock. The Wolverine has the same motor as the Warrior but with different gears and the added weight of the 4 wheel drive.

You could try racing him through a thick mud hole.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Then maybe.

 

I had a '99 400EX and races with Warriors weren't even close so with a Wolverine it really wouldn't be a race for the EX.

 

that post is just gonna start argument, cuz you no a 400ex will smoke a heavy auto clutch 5-speed warrior motor. these post arn't good cuz you guys already no the answers.

if you wanted to ride with him and like him getta sumular quad as him. cuz it sounded like you wanted to keep up with him, the wolverine isn't the quad to do that. if you whated a sporty 4x4, then the wolverine would be for u.
