There is a plastic plug that is located above the exhaust. Is this for a oil pressure gauge or what? Well let me tell you something about that plug...... I was out at Glamis and a buddy of mines friend had a brand new YFZ450 and some how that plug flew out and just pumped out oil all over the exhaust!! THat was pretty scary if you ask me. They said they just purchased it the day before so hopefully they will fix it.

Anyone else have this problem? Just curious.

Thanks and I am working on swapping the head and cylinders and getting an aftermarket rod for my new bike. Yeah I sold it to a buddy of mine for 2500.00. I am going to swap the head and carbs you know, all the goodies and he is going to fix the other one for his wife with all my new parts. Oh well, I sure do like the color scheme on the Red and White one!! I almost want to put it in my living room so I can look at it while I am watching TV..... LOL!!!!

ive heard of this happening to a couple of people, that plug is for the manual decompression release Yami used on the bikes from 98-02. Now that they have the auto decomp on the exhaust cam its not needed. So they just put a rubber plug where the cable used to go.

If mine pops out like that I would just fill it in with JB weld and call it a day
