is any one running the trenga racing 240 kit on their blaster? it uses a cr250 reed cage and reeds. is it any good?

 

The Trenga Racing 240 Sonic kit is actually CTs and yes they have some good power but the bad thing is that their not good for long hard rides due to problems with heat. My friend has one and heat is always an issue no matter how perfect the jetting is. If your looking for another option check out the 240s at www.hollywooddirtproductions.com . They dont come with carb and pipe combos but for half of what Trenga charges youll get superior port work and head work and believe me when I say that Marc at Hollywood Dirts port work is second to no one! I had a Hollywood Dirt motor just recently that was on a stock bore with Hollywood Dirts PD3 porting, Hollywood Dirts Prop head mod set up for 175 psi, Hollywood Dirt 2mm stroker with hot rodz crank, Power Pros exhaust and a Keihin 33mm PWK carb riffled and bored by Hollywood Dirt and I used to spank stock Banshees like nothing in drags and on an MX track.

So if your looking for big power Hollywood Dirt is the way to go. Right now hes building me a 240 big bore stroker motor which by the way I cant wait to get lol. Just go to his website and check out the pics of his port work and then go to every other site on the net and see if you can find anybody else who compares to it. His designs are one of a kind and they work. Plus he has the best prices. Also he sells carb kits (riffled if you want), long rods, strokers, he also does flywheel lightening, resleeving, basically everything you could ever want done to your motor he does it.
