Default 03 Kodiak 450 constantly exploding belts

I have a 03 Kodiak 450, and I have been going through belts constantly even without getting the belt wet. I have tried everything I can think of to stop it. If anybody is having the same problem or know a solution please let me know. Thanks.

How many have you gone thru? What were you doing when the belt goes? One more thing, when you say the belt explodes does it mean just that or does the belt just shred on one side? If the belt is shredding on one side look for any burs or abrassions where the belt rides. Where did you get the replacment belts? Did you mention this to them? Lots of questions but it might help us give a better answer to your problem.AlaskaBoy.

Either you have gotten defective belts (highly unlikely), you are pulling things that are way too heavy for the quad to be pulling, or your clutch might be out of alignment. Is it still under warranty? If not, I would still take it to the dealer to have them check out the clutching. I have had five belt driven quads, and have never burned up a belt.
