Default YFZ450 oil tanks

Are the aftermarket aluminum oversized tanks worth the $$ for the weekend warrior? How much of a difference in engine temp does it really make?

I'd say no. You don't really "need" an oil tank on these anyway. It's highly advised to leave them on, but you can remove 'em. Bearing that in mind, I'd suggest that the weekend warrior will do just fine w/ the stocker. The oil system is the only one I have yet to dick with and the only one I won't dick with.

The YFZ has a similar POS design that the Raptor uses. The reason most Rappy owners change them out is because they begin to spring leaks. Some will say it's because of more oil capacity and cooling affect.
