You guys got it good. When my group goes to Little Sahara, OK, we sleep on the flatbed trailer we haul the wheelers on and in the back of trucks. Dont get much sleep cuz of all the people driving by at night way too fast, and the acassional people that stop and stare. And the best part is the back ache in the morning from the wood floored trailer. But im not complaining........too much. I miss it already just thinking about.

Cool thread 14. We gotta 35ft horse trailer that we use half for quads and the other half for sleeping That's the sweetest thing I've ever seen blue

Blueleader has it rough!! LOL of course the bacardi bus stood him up for FSW2 and he had to rough it.
I sold my 1 ton crew cab chevy a few months back and this new dodge 1/2 ton crew cab is not cutting it. Pulled a trailer weighing around 9ooo pounds and it sucked. What ever i get it will be less than 4500 pounds or i am getting a new truck.

imo the campfire is almost as important as the quad when camping
when they put the fire ban in affect,,,,we usually stick to day trips
either tent or camper,,,,,,never a hotel

Mark, look around good enough and you can find one right. I bought our 22ft Pace from a buddy that has more money than sense and decided he needed a new one. We gave $4k for it. It is a few years old, but has all necessary things, a checkered floor, and he Rhino-lined the fold down ramp and door and put aluminum plate on them. It looks cool and was well affordable. Just keep your eyes open. It is definitely nicer to stay in than the tent that we done for a few years. Oh, and my 97 1/2 ton chevy makes the 7 hour pull to Waynoka without a problem.

i have a 33 ft camper. i also have a room i can put on the side of it that is 10 by 22 ft. i haul that, and my friends haul the quads.
i did the roughing thing for a few years when i was younger, but i love heast, ac, A BATHROOM, and my blender, lol. i also have a 27 inch tv, a vcr, and a dvd player, but i drew the line at surround sound, lol. this is great for days of constant rain, to keep the bordom from setting in too bad.
as for cost!!! i found out that after the tax deduction, it was costing me around 100 a month. this included the storage i have to pay for while not in use. ( i regret paying it off in a couple of years becouse of that) i find it much easier to get up in the morning and riding hard after a good nights sleep on a real bed, and not being sore from the truck, or all the noise at night.
14 mins... i put 391 gears in my dodge, and with the 360 engine, i can haul my camper( 7000 dry) all my stuff i need, along with my quad in the back using cruise control at 65 mph. i dont have mountains here in michigan, but i havent found a hill i need to take it off cruise yet. i would say i can pull 8500 wwith the gears with no problem. my last dodge, with the 318, and the 323 gears, suffered, and bogged down on large bridges. just a sudjestion!!
i need to see glamis some day!

Toyhauler!!! Mrs. Evil and the little evil ones couldn't hack it in the desert and dunes with out one. I love camping with the family so I had to step up and drop some cash on the truck and trailer, well worth the investment!!
