Exactly. You remove the TORS and if the throttle sticks you are screwed if not in gear so you can kill the engine. Kill switch will not work. The throttle stick issue comes about when the slide(s) hang up or are installed incorrect. Your buddy has been messing with the carbs.....right?

why would the kill switch not work. i removed my tors becuase they wouldn;t let the machine idle, they were messed up, but i was concerned with the throttle sticking, but i didn;t know that you couldn;t just turn of the kill switch???

The combustion process is started and the engine must be stopped too kill the engine. Two strokes are notorious for this. You can turn the kill switch off and remove the spark plug boots and it will still run WFO.

????

This makes no sense. Unless it's a magical motor, an engine needs air, fuel, and spark to run. Take away the spark and it'll die. I would think the kill switch would accomplish this, and removing the spark plug wire would definitely eliminate spark. Please elaborate.

Colby, If you removed the spark, it would not idle. On the Banshee, once you start the engine, it can produce its own spark through each revolution (Two Stroke Process). Although, you can kill the motor, if you flood it, or it has no compression, but it would die eventually anyways. Go to Howstuffworks.com and look up small engine. Then you will have a very good understanding of the engines operation.

my banshee doesnt idle either nor does the killswitch work and my throttle stuck open once when i was warming it up in my garage and started idling really high and i had no where to go so i just put it in 6th and dropped the clutch and luckily it stalled instead of taking off through the wall.
