i have 2003 banshee its bored 60 over with vitos superstock pistons and has pro design air filter and a 3 degree timing key and have stock carbs and stock pipes i think it is runing to lean i ended up melting my pistons how should i jet my carbs i still have stock jets in them i think its like 200

wow, no offense, but that seems like a really bad expensive way to learn that you need to rejet often. remember, every 20 degree change in temperature or major change in elevation requires rejetting. If you got it from a firend or dealer that didnt tell you that jetting is mandatory in 2 strokes, id be ticked.

Id say start around a 275 and 27.5 needle and go from there. you really need a set of pipes to wake up the power though.

Every time you do something to modify air of fuel intake you need to change the jetting in some way. If it gets colder out and warmer out you need to change too
