Raptor 350 vs Warrior
Im sure the plastic is most of the weight savings. that and plastic heel wells instead of metal and plastic.
Its a warrior with new plastic, dont get your hopes up. The swingarm and chain adjustment is even the same so no doubt the airbox and most of the other stuff are the same.

Nope, same head. I didnt think about the plastic weight savings, lol. So add up 2" shorter tires in the back, 1" shorter in the front, rear preload adjustable only shock(minus resovoir and dampning adjustment), and smaller, lighter plastic,3 mm smaller carb, lighter exhaust, and voila- theres the 22 pound difference. But...its still a warrior in disguise, lol. Dont get me wrong, the warrior is a good bike(i had one), but yamaha could have done alot better than just a cosmetic makeover. Hell even take the yzf chassis and stuff a warrior motor into it. With a few mods the warrior will keep up with the 400ex on the mx track, but suffers severly in the handling department. Oh well, better luck next time yamaha. I think the best bet would be a used warrior, add a few mods, and install the 350raptor plastic(hell, it will probably bolt right up. i know is does on the yamaha 90.)

It can go quicker with the same motor and less weight because of the power:weight ratio. I heard things that the Warrior cannot top out in 6th gear because it does not have enough power to pull it. The Raptor 350 is 22 pounds lighter, but same transmission and all, so it will be a little eaiser on it to pull 6th gear up to a higher RPM. Also, the design is more aerodynamic creating less air resistance and therefore the net force pushing it forward will be greater than what it originally was.
